Results for July 2
Hello, and welcome to So You Think You Can Dance: The Results. Tonight, two more dancers will go home, kissing the dream of being America's Favorite Dancer goodbye.
The show opens with an incredible group dance that is choreographed by Tyce Diorio. He always amazes me with his work. I just love him.
Cat, who is looking quite lovely tonight, gets right down to business.
Vitolio & Karla are in the bottom three.
Randi & Evan are safe.
Melissa and Brandon are safe.
Kayla and Kupono are in the bottom three, shocking the heck out of Mia.
Caitlin and Jason are safe. (Her family are dresses like aliens, which might be the cutest thing ever.)
Jeanine and Phillip are in the bottom three.
Patricia Hasting and Desmond Richardson perform what is probably the most moving and incredible ballet/contmporary routine I have ever seen. I'm so impressed not only by how well they move, but how captivating they are.
Solo time!
Karla is up first and kind of has a poppy-contemporary thing going on. Very unique and interesting.
Vitolio is so smooth and has such incredible lines. I just love to watch him!
Kayla has incredible leaps and stretches in hers and just radiates such joy as she dances.
Kupono is not only incredibly hot, but can really work the stage and the crowd. LOVE him!
Jeanine show such passion and proves that she has no business being in the bottom three.
Phillip does a hip hop routine that makes me want to get up and dance. Why is he in the bottom three? Really?
As the judges deliberate, Kelly Clarkson performs her new single. I like the performance, but I would have preferred a different song choice, perhaps because my local radio station plays the song every five minutes.
The judges decide that Karla will be going home. She gets a beautiful montage and hugs and kisses from everyone before she says goodbye.
Poor Phillip looks so nervous as Nigel tells him he is staying another week. I seriously thought he was going to be sick. Vitolio finds out he will be going home, which allows Kupono to dance for another week. He also gets montages, hugs and kisses as he bids the show farewell.
Join us next week for more dancing, drama and musical guests. Goodnight!
